Hey athletes!  It’s supposed to be beautiful outside tomorrow so we are going to take some fitness outside.  Your extra work starts off with some sprints.  Just hit the parking lot, mark out 100m, and run as fast as you can each time.  Rest as needed between sets.  Finish out the session with some Clean Pulls.  These are a must for practicing positioning, balance, and timing off the ground.  Really focus on using your legs to lift the barbell, not your arms or low back.  If you struggle with balance during these (i.e. your weight too far back on you heels or too far forward on your toes), feel free to throw a pause in at the knee.

 

SPRINTING

 

8 x 100m sprint

*rest as needed between sets

 

OLYMPIC LIFTING

 

5 x 5 Clean Pull @ 80% of 1RM

*reset each rep
