AGES 5-10! CROSSFIT KID’S CLASSES ARE COMING BACK!
Yep, it’s time to start up another round for our fire-breathers! AND this time it will be coached by our very own Beth P.!
Beth has a background as a physical therapist with over 15 years of experience, is an Infant Swimming Resource Instructor, and recently completed her CrossFit Level I certification. She’s been CrossFitting for years and has a true passion for it. Beth is a mother of three and is well aware of the importance of movement and fitness for the development of children. We are so excited that she is looking to relaunch this program.
This series of classes will be designed for kids ages 5-10. While we will fill class with fun activities and games, a big goal of the program is teach your children the foundational movements that will serve them well in the long term (in sports AND in life). Cove Kids classes also provide an opportunity to hone life skills such as perseverance, teamwork and working hard! These 45 min-hour long classes will run on the following schedule:
8-WEEK SESSION (SUNDAYS AT 1P)
Sunday, May 1st
Sunday, May 8th
Sunday, May 15th
Sunday, May 22nd
Sunday, May 29th
Sunday, June 5th
Sunday, June 12th
Sunday, June 19th
As always, it is family fitness at it’s finest! You can get in your workout during Open Gym at the same your little one takes their first sips of the CrossFit Kool Aid! (kids’ classes will have priority of space, however). The 8 week session costs $160 for Cove members and $185 for non-members (yes, friends are welcome!!)
We are limiting the class to ten kids, so sign up soon! Email us at info@CrossFitCove.com with the name of your child (and age) and you’re good to go!
NCAA MEN’S BASKETBALL POOL WINNER
It came down to the final game but we have a champion for this year’s CrossFit Cove basketball pool. With Kansas’s dramatic win last night, Eriq G. took the championship from Eduardo S.
To the victor goes the spoils, Eriq won himself a $25 CrossFit Cove gift card, bragging rights, and the right to play his own playlist in an upcoming Cove class.
Looks like Eriq is ready for the start of Orioles baseball
OFF CAMPUS WORKOUT: THE COVE 5KISH RUN
COVE HOSTING CROSSFIT LEVEL 2 SEMINAR
This Saturday, April 2nd, we will be hosting the CrossFit Level 2 seminar and the gym will be closed until 6 PM on Saturday and Sunday. We are looking to set up off-campus workout, so look for something in the coming days on the blog.
We are sorry for the inconvenience (especially on the heels of hosting the Level 1 a few weeks ago) but we hope you understand that this is an important educational resource for our staff and an important revenue generator for the business.
Since the COVID shutdown we saw our membership numbers drop dramatically — and today we remain 60 members short of where we were before things shut down. While they definitely don’t close the gap, these seminars help us slightly offset those losses.
With that said, we very much believe that CrossFit is a transformative experience and we want to share it with more people. If you know someone who might be interested in taking control of their fitness please send them our way. We think the Cove is a special family and we would love to continue to expand it.
