OFF CAMPUS WORKOUT: THE COVE 5KISH RUN

The weather has been a bit chilly this week but this weekend things are looking a bit warmer (!) so we’ve decided to do our second ever COVE 5K-ISH RUN this Saturday! We did it 6 months ago and with the gym closed for the CrossFit Level 2 seminar, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to retest this workout!

A huge thank you to Sondra H for finding the perfect route for us, which is the PATUXENT BRANCH TRAIL. The run is about 5 K (3.14 miles) and is a “there and back” route. If you are not a runner, don’t sweat it, like all workouts we can scale it. You could do a combination of running and walking or maybe follow the trail for 15 minutes and turn around and see if you make it home in less than 15 minutes.

We are asking people to meet at 10 AM (to let temps rise a bit) and we will start with a short group warm up and stretch. The trail will be a bit muddy, so save your beautiful NoBulls for the Cove and wear something you are willing to get dirty.
And if running isn’t your thing or you need a bit of extra gym time, Open Gym will be available at the Cove on Saturday and Sunday evenings starting at 6 PM.
